50 Lecturers Participated Training of PEKERTI

From 12th to 16th February 2018, Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi held a training of Pelatihan Keterampilan Dasar Teknik Instruksional (Basic Instructional Skills Improvement Training) or PEKERTI for short. 50 lecturers from UMMI and 10 lecturers from STIKES, STIE PGRI, and STIP PGRI participated this 5 days long event.

The training was held at Taman Sari Hotel, Sukabumi. The training was officially started by the head of institutional and cooperation section of KOPERTIS IV, Aminatun. Reny Sukmawani, the Vice Rector I of UMMI also attended the training.

PEKERTI Training is a program intended for professionalism development of lecturers held directly by DIKTI from 1987. The goals are to improve professional competencies of lecturers who has functional position.
There are 11 main materials delivered in the training, which are Concept of Curriculum Development in Higher Education, Competencies, Teaching Skills, development of learning media, communication of learning, Concept of Learning & RPS making design, learning theory and learning motivation, ethics, moral and lecturer profession, learning strategy, concept and procedure of learning result assessment and, Peer Teaching.

Through the training, lecturers are expected to get more insight and knowledge about pedagogic principle and methodology.
