Sukabumi, ummi.ac.id – In a remarkable demonstration of community spirit and educational outreach, the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI) recently hosted a comprehensive Syiar Ramadhan program. Held on Thursday, 28 March 2024, at the UMMI Auditorium, the event was a multifaceted initiative to enhance the community's social, academic, and religious engagement.

Under the leadership of Dr. Reny Sukmawani, M.P., the Rector of UMMI, the program was a testament to the institution's commitment to fostering a cultured and faithful society. "Our goal is to make a tangible, positive impact on the welfare of our society and the broader community development," Dr. Reny articulated, highlighting the program's objectives.

A vital feature of the outreach was a detailed literacy session on insurance conducted by Dr. Abdul Bari, SKM., MM, from PT. JAMKRINDO. Dr. Bari delved into the essentials of credit insurance, underscoring its benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or UMKM and presenting strategies for leveraging insurance services for business growth. This session aimed at broadening the understanding of credit insurance mechanisms among entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and the general public.

Moreover, Dr. Bari emphasized PT. JAMKRINDO's role in extending financial literacy and education to SMEs, covering crucial aspects such as the advantages of credit insurance, financial management, and business development strategies. His insights shed light on how credit insurance can facilitate SMEs' access to banking loans, promoting financial inclusivity.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the event, Dr. Muchlas Rowi, S.S., SH, MM, delivered an enlightening sermon on the essence of Ramadan. He explored the unique opportunities the holy month offers for personal growth, worship, and acts of kindness. Dr. Muchlas's sermon resonated with the audience, inspiring them to embrace the values of Ramadan fully.

The Ramadan Outreach program, encompassing Insurance Literacy, Orphan Assistance, and Sermons, garnered commendation from the UMMI Academic Community and guests. It is a shining example of how educational institutions can play a pivotal role in societal development and spiritual enrichment. The event's success paves the way for future initiatives that can further benefit the UMMI Academic Community and society at large.
