Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Institution of UMMI held Baitul Arqam for Lecturers and Staffs for 3 days starting from Monday, February 2, 2018 to Sunday, February 7 at Sukabumi Indah Hotel. The event was participated by 39 lecturers and 34 staffs of UMMI.

The Head of Baitul Arqam Committee, Andri Moewashi, I.H., S.Th.I., M.M., explained that lecturers are professional educators who have main duty to transform, develop and disseminate science, technology, and arts through education, research and community service. Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (UMMI) as one of education providers, has Amar Makruf Nahi Munkar as its unique dakwah movement which based on Al-qur'an and Sunah. Through Baitul Arqam, lecturers of UMMI are expected to synergize with Al-islam and Muhammadiyah on each activities and actions.

He also explained that staffs as supporting personnel in UMMI, has the obligation to perform excellent service based on Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah in each implementation of their duties.

The event was intended to motivate and rise awarness of staffs and lecturers of their obligation and duties.
