ummi.ac.id - According to the rule by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2016, Higher Education Accreditation is a program to determine a higher education institution's level of quality.
In Indonesia, the accreditation of higher education is held by Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT). BAN-PT is responsible in controling the quality and efficiency of higher educational education. BAN-PT itself is directly under Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia.
On 13th to 15th September 2017, an assessment team from BAN-PT visited UMMI to hold the accreditation of higher education program. The assessment are including management and educational outcome of the institution which is divided into 7 standards instrument of BAN-PT accreditation. Standard 1, concerning vision, mission, objective, target and strategy to achieve all of those. Standard 2, concerning management system, leadership and quality assurance. Standard 3, concerning students and graduates. Standard 4, concerning human resources. Standard 5, concerning curriculum, learning process, academic environment. Standard 6, concerning finance, facilities, infrastructure and information system. Standard 7, concerning research, service, cooperation and community service.
Amongst all of Muhammadiyah Universities, UMMI is a young college which only 14 years old. Nevertheless, BAN-PT assessment team gives their appreciation and compliment to UMMI which already has a good system and management.
Those good education services are proven by the accomplishment of UMMI achieving the B Accredited title from BAN-PT with SK Number: 3600/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/X/2017. These accreditation is an official assessment that represent the quality of education.
