Nature Conservation Seminar Opened the 12th AMPIBI of Biology Education Student Association

Auditorium, - Tuesday (5/2/18) Located in the auditorium of the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi, the Biology Student Association (HIMABIO) successfully held a Seminar on Nature Conservation that introduce the dangers of various types of waste (especially plastic waste) and how to make our lives free of plastic waste.

The seminar presented Nurul Hidayah, S.Pd., M.Sc , the author of  "Zero Waste Life Style: Towards a Waste-Free Life" book as the speaker. Participants were students from various Middle Schools in Sukabumi and the publics. The Nature Conservation Seminar also opened the series of event of  Apresiasi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi, better known as AMPIBI, which in 2019 was held for the 12th time.

The XII AMPIBI carries the theme of "Real Evidence of Biology in Dedication, Opens the Potential and Achieves Achievement". XII AMPIBI is divided into three categories of events: education, religion and social care. In the educaiton category, there are competitions of  the Lomba Cepat Tepat Biologi (LCTB) [literally translated as Biology Wits Competition] and Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah (LKTI) [literally translated as Scientific Writing Competition]. In the religion field there is the Musabaqoh Syarhil Qur'an (MSQ) competition, and in the social care field there are Seminar of Nature Conservation and Blood Donation event.

After the Nature Conservation Seminar, Musabaqoh Syarhil Qur'an Competition for high school were held on February 10, Biology Wits Competition on February 16 and 17, Blood Donation on February 18, then ended with a Scientific Writing Competition on February 24, 2019.

In his speech, the Chairperson of the Biology Student Association Andri Kurnia Rahmatullah said, "The AMPIBI this time has a different concept than the previous AMPIBI, one of which is Nature Conservation activities which we usually go directly to the field to plant tree seedlings in the designated area, but on this year's concept of Nature Conservation in the form of a seminar held after the opening of AMPIBI XII ".

Dean of the Teaching and Education Faculty Sistiana Windyariani, M.Pd. said in his speech "AMPIBI XII activities have included the faculty's vision and mission which include the newly held MSQ competition for the second time".

AMPIBI XII was opened by the Deputy Chancellor III, Haadi Kusumah, MT, who represented the Chancellor of the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi in his speech, saying "The UMMI Biology Student Association is one of the most active associations on this campus, which is successful in carrying out various kinds of activities. AMPIBI XII makes motivation for other associations in carrying out their activities "
