Sukabumi, umm.ac.id - International Office of UMMI, once again, held a guest lecture on Monday, 27th November 2017 and invitied En. Mohd Ali Ibrahim, a senior lecturer from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as the keynote speaker of the lecture.
Took place at Al-Umm Mosque, the lecture was started from 08:30 to 11;00. Even though it was raining, the students enthusiastically attended the lecture, especially the students of Faculty of Education and Teaching Practice. Haadi Kusumah, the Vice Rector III, Sistiana Windyariani, the Dean of Faculty of Education and Teaching Practice and its lecturers also attended the lecture.
The event was officially opened by Haadi Kusumah, the Vice Rector III. In his speech, he asked the students to pay attention and take the knowledge given by Cik Gu Ali as much as possible.
En. Mohd Ali Ibrahim, who usually being addressed by Cik Gu Ali led the lecture interactively. He explained the differences between educational system in Malaysia and Indonesia, the role of teachers in digital era and gave motivation to be a teacher.
"The most important thing about being a teacher is to have educating soul and to teach sincerely.", said Cik Gu Ali.
In the occasion, the students were also encouraged to join the International Teaching practice and Community Service in Malaysia which is held by International Office of UMMI.
